I'd like to find a dovetail saw capable of cutting bar fret slots ~ .049 that will work in my manual fretting jig. Anyone know of a source or a better way? I thought about laminating a couple of std. blades together, but it seems like there should be someting out there that would work.

Offhand, I'd be pretty uneasy about hand cutting slots for bar frets. They are far less forgiving than barbed tang frets, and they really want precision slots to fit correctly. Possibly rigging up a guide and grinding a table saw blade would yield better results.
Possibly a router jig? Endmills are available in lots of diameters.
