This is my first post here folks. Remember, it's 'Be kind to the Newbee' month here on the Forum! I hope this is an original idea..... One of the repair tricks that I figured out myself is to drill out a hole right through the center dot all the way through. Make sure that you either have two of the same diameter drill bits on hand (because one of them is about to be sacrificed) or a rod of the same diameter steel about three inches long. This process works way faster if you use a larger drill bit, say a full quarter inch bit.. Carefully drill out the hole, put the guitar on its back so the steel rod/drillbit does not fall into the guitar, put in the steel rod all the way through the hole, and get out blow torch. Heat the rod up till about ten seconds after it starts to smoke, and the whole pin will come right out. Clean out the glue residue and away you go!... Kerry K...
