FRETS.NET

Hey everyone. I have a Gibson C-1 my dad gave me when I was a kid. It doesn't sound very good and I am most likely gonna sell it. (My dad bought me a lot of guitars when I was younger)haha I fixed a couple cracks and got the tuners going again. My straight edge comes to about 7/32" below the front edge of the saddle slot. What is the proper neck angle on these? Also what kind of joint is in there? Is it really worth doing?

since it was built to mimic a classical.it may not have had much if any neck angle but they were built like tanks and guessing more like acoustic.I remember how fat the frets are.Does the end of the board angle dnwd?Did you ever use steel strings?Could have an upper brace prob?more pics? Side view to show how the neck lays?

I have never put steel strings on it. Who knows what its history is though. There is around .010"-.020" fall away.

String it up and accurately measure the 12th fret string height above the fret.(after checking that the nut slots are not too high)

Also measure string height above soundboard just in front of the bridge

Standard Classical action is generally 4mm bass to 3mm treble and you are probably going to be close to that.
