Thanks for the kind words, Dennis. Yes, I suppose we can be somewhat insensitive blokes, particularly in arenas that we aren't well-versed.
Until you appeared, I don't believe there had been any thoughts discussed of fretting a violin! So you've opened up new ground and we're all individually better for it.
I hope you stick-around! You're a thoughtful fellow with expanded ideas.... everyone on this board (with no exceptions) can benefit from what you've chosen to share.

What kind of fret do you use and where did you get them. Also, did you have to raise the nut and change the bridge to a slightly taller one?
