61 gibson acoustic repair

Hi Frank and all.

My gibson has the same problem you (Frank) fixed in a 1998 3 page guide to "Bridge Plate Replacement" where you also flattend the top. My question is I don't recall mention of the braces in the area being flattend. What would keep the braces from seperating or tearing from the spurce top? I was about to begin the repair and then the brace issue stopped me.

Most of the time, soundboard is bellied mostly betwen the braces. If they are not unglued, braces will follow the flattening operation.
