Hello Folks

Does anyone know if there are binding cutter/bearing kits available that fit a 1/8 inch Dremel shaft similar to LMI's for a regular router? Thanks. Happy Trails!

Hi Allen,

I believe the StewMac tool is designed for use with a dremel:  http://www.stewmac.com/Luthier_Tools/Tools_by_Job/Tools_for_Binding...

Best wishes,

Doc

Awesome! Thanks Doc!

If you are going to use a dremel for precision jobs like this, youll want to check that the bearing is noice and toight. Like so: http://www.frets.com/FretsPages/Luthier/Tools/DremelBearing/drembea...

I couldnt find heatshrink that fit, but electrical tape worked just fine.

Thanks Andrew. I am planning to cut a groove around the headstock for plastic lining. I've cut several channels for the sound hole, plunge cuts and grooves for the saddle. No problems so far.

Yes some are better than others. One of mine used to wander around as though it had taken to drinking.
