G'Day Members,
If milling and resawing Back and sides billets for Jumbo Guitar how much extra do you feel one should cut sizes at to allow for Drying.

The thinner you saw them, the quicker they will dry. I'd say around 1/4 inch (.250 inch) or so would work out pretty well. This will leave you room to thin it further on a thickness sander after it dries and give you room to clear out all the saw marks. The finished back and sides thickness will probably be somewhere in the range of .080 to .120 inch or somewhere in that range.

For your reply 1/4 inch is what I thought was a good size to saw to.
I reckon it would dry in no time.
