Interesting that this 'lutherie' workshop also includes a pipe organ, a serpent, and sundry other wind instruments.  I wonder if this is artistic licence, or did luthiers of old really cover the entire spectrum of instrument repair?

The 'serpent' appears to be a wind instrument as well. If you look at the actual eBay listing and scroll down you will see a larger version. Also, some other info on it's origin. It would be interesting is to see the explanation info of the marked Figures.

Hey Tom. So I see your posting pics of the new shop. What's with the strange hats? Must be the new craze in Ohio? In answer to Ian's question, luthiers of old like luthiers today, work on anything that pays.
