Hobbiest here, not a professional.
This is a Korean made acoustic electric. The body is destroyed beyond repair, missing too many pieces of wood.
What I want to salvage is the neck and fingerboard.
Does anyone have any insight into the neck joint on these models? I believe I read that they are epoxied in but can't remember if they said it was a dovetail, dowel/butt joint.
The neck block is mahogany and can be cut away from the inside leaving the neck and old side, a laminate, thickness still joined if I have too. This way I won't loose any length. And possibly gain a little if needed from the side thickness. But I would like to practice removing it properly if it's possible.
I want to match it up with a nice solid top body I have. The cadaver body was a dowel/butt joint configuration. I do not have the original neck or fingerboard. But the geometry looks good to match these 2 pieces together using a bolt on process.
Any practical experience you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Wound up flush cutting away the neck block from the inside since the guitar body was already shattered.
It was a dovetail joint generously epoxied together.
Is this a common trait of G series models?
