I get mine from Fred Guitar Parts... but I guess you're not in Europe, so it may be of no interest for you.
i buy springs from ace hard wear when i need one or two for pickups or trems you can buy rubber tubing slipping it over the screw after through the pickup threaded plachet foot sliding on some rubber and it acts like a spring or foam when i see foam i think it comes from the box the pick up came in look to the bottom of the box it came in later dude
Thanks, I have plenty of pickup screws, springs and tubing. I am specifically looking for the black dense foam as used by Fender. The stuff from pickup boxes is too porous and soft. ~ Hopefully, in the USA :) Tom
Allparts!
I looked at Allparts already. I could not find it? Do you have a part number? I am a dealer, so that would be great if they had it! I should call them.

I found this place in Burbank:

http://www.foammart.com/
The part number is : Allparts: PU 6944-023 for bass pickup rubber sponge mounting strips. Rusty.
Bingo! - Thanks a million Mr. Rusty!
Foam suppliers generally have remnants that are almost free. I have never purchased a special foam for that job.
We always replace harware and similar with commercial/genuine spares - the customer is entitled to know that the instrument has been repaired in accordance with industry standard especially when valuable instruments such as genuine P. Bass are concerned and they are paying for a professional repair. For cheap and nasty stuff scraps may be OK. R.
Exactly. I want to be the invisible repair guy.
