Well, I got it done.  Turned out to be easier than I planned.  Not much info out there in cyberland on refreting  plastic fretboards.  After finding as much as I could, I just dove in and used my tried and true methods I learned from master Frank and my experience.  The stuff is like real hard ebony, and you have to heat the frets more than normal.  They pop out with a snap;no chipping at all.  Replaning was different.  I really didn't need to fix anything, just clean it up for new frets.  I started with 220, went up to 1200 I got from LMI and finished with micro mesh.  New frets went in tight.  Slots measured .026, so I had to expand the tangs a bit with my Frank Ford expando pliers.  Finishing was normal.   Turned out nice and customer was happy.  Had to overhang the fret ends like a bound fingerboard as the ends of the slots were filled, and I didn't want to deal with that.

ouch ....me fingers a little more bevel please

Tim: It doesn't need more bevel.  Christian "micro rounded" the fret ends in all dimensions.  It's a delicate and time consuming way to finalize the fret ends but yields a wonderful feeling and gorgeous looking neck/frets.  I only do this "upon request" as it's really a labor of love.

Christian: Great looking frets!!!

Best of luck guys (-:

Now can you figure out how to get some of his PU's?The piezo type? They really sound good on his electric fidds.

Learned it from Frank.  Cant saw file on the ends, 600 grit, then Micro Mesh.  Thanks.  And Tim, they really are smooth.  Bad photo, took it with my phone.
