Nice! Is that hard to feed the fingerboard?
Ebony is quite hard to do this with. So I can only use small .004 increases in sanding, I have to turn the wood over ( so the top becomes the bottom of the board to even it out),  and I  HAVE to keep the wood moving at the same speed, and not slow down or stop, because it will result in a trough..

Maybe some kind of device applying pressure just in front of the drum would help?

And behind on the catch side too just to keep the material as stable as possible while it's in the drum.

 Ned that is a great idea. I actually may move the whole adjustment knob so that the bolt is applying pressure higher up and directly behind the drum. Is that what you had in mind?
