Hi Alain! It's good to see you on frets.net, I think it's a brilliant forum and I've learned so much here. Yes, I 'bit the bullet' and re-set the neck, in two axes(!), replaced the upper transverse brace, installed a bridge doctor to support the caved-in top, replaced the bridge and saddle, made a new TRC and replaced all the fb binding which was falling off. Now at least it is playable, but intonation is (surprisingly) flat at 12th fret vs harmonic by up to 10 cents. Since I haven't glued the neck, I'm thinking to maybe shave some more off the heel, although that would move F14 slightly south of the body join. (I'm not skilled enough to make a new bridge, and I can't move the saddle enough on the existing bridge.) Since I started following Yamaki guitars I only found one other like it, which sold for over $1300 (but in better condition.)
I hope that your business is doing well, I see beautiful guitars on your website!
Best wishes, Ian
