Doc Scantlin's Page

After building my first guitar in 1964 and then becoming a full time repairman and instrument builder since the early 1970's at Gruhn Guitars, Toronto Folklore Centre, Palm Harbor Music (Fla.), Picker's Supply (Fredericksburg, Va.), Guitar Shop (Wash. D.C.), I turned to performing full time and only recently have started building once again. So much has evolved in the "lutherie" world since I was "in the thick of it". It is like starting over again in a way and I'm having a ball catching up. Thank you all and especially Mr. Ford for the opportunity to share information and offer and receive help and opinions. I look forward to being mostly a sponge but might be able to offer some advice and comment as well. Thanks again.
