John do you know any thing about the Tourte bow ? I just had a customer bring an old Violin in for repairs that he bought at a gradge sale.It was in an old beat up coffin case.There was a bow in there had no hair it looked like a very good stik it had Tourte stamped on it. Hey John - I have tried something like that (random notes, discard offal, explore remainder) which is fun because your mind or fingers will sometimes go to familiar patterns and what you want is something different.The only composition I have done was with a midi sequencer - which was similar - I would just turn the pitch knob until it didn't sound awful, pick a duration and go to the next note. It sounds great, but I can't play it myself :)

The daxophone isn't my invention, by the way, they guy in the video invented it.
