Hey Rick, couldn't mistake that mug anywhere. Just dropped in Frets.com to do some research and saw you prominently displayed. Seems you are exceedingly busy with all sorts of projects. I'm starting guitar number 5, and I have just recently decided to sully my reputation by embarking on a repair business on the side. Just finished building my first Charles Fox side bending machine. Yowzer. Stephen from Fox Workshop.

I too, have been thinking of a way to prep myself for bringing in some income potential through my wood widdling. I went so far as to get a Washington State business license as a repair person. Oddly, this is the same business category as plumber and stereo woofer repairman.

I am looking to building a resonator/dobro guitar as my next "personal" guitar. I waver between guitars to sell and guitars to hoard.

I keep a watch out on eBay for "project" guitars, like you, but it's amazing how high the bidding gets for trashed units that need an amazing amount of work to get functional.

Keep it up, as Charles said, "It's a worthy endeavor". Or at least that's what I remember.

Hello Rick, I hope I'm contacting you in correct way, if not please advise as I am new here.

I just read one of your responses to a somewhat unrelated post where you mentioned reconfiguring the top bracing on a small parlor guitar while bringing up a point regarding bridge and saddle issues. I recently made a post regarding re-bracing the top of an old Bay State. When you get a chance sir, I would love to read your thoughts on the thread.

Many thanks,
Have a great Sunday afternoon, I trust it is as sunny in CA is in PA today.
