Hello,
 I started building electric guitars in 2003 after taking the Journeyman Program at Brian Galloup School of Luthier in January and February 2003. We put together an electric guitar from all parts. This was our introduction to lutherie in our first two weeks. The class did a two tone burst paint and nitrocellulose lacquer finish on a tele style electric guitar. In the second part of the class we build an acoustic guitar from beginning to end. This took the class about 6 weeks and the instruments came out very beautiful. The tone is excellent. The guitar appraised at $2000 easily.

 Since then I have been building electric guitars when jobs don't take up too much of my time. Learning more about lutherie with each instrument that I have built. Over the years I have built and sold several dozen electric guitars and I am working on my next batch of electrics. I have build the bodies, some solid, some chambered, and some semi-acoustic with F holes. The guitar pictured in my profile is the first electric guitar that I sold in 2003.

 I have just started my first acoustic build. I still need to get a few more tools and jigs before I can box up the body and set the necks. With a side bending machine and the Go-bar clamping system and the J-45 mold I built I am just about ready to box up the body.

 As for repairs, I have been doing fret dresses, re frets, set up's and some small electrical work. I feel that my fret dress and re frets come out very nicely. Always a complement and never a complaint.
