Hey, that's the Cliquot Club Eskimos with Harry Reiser! I have not heard any of their recordings but I love the art (as a former Alaskan).

That is indeed wicked stuff. I worked on one where the problem appeared to be mostly shrinkage - it was still fairly round but 1/4" or more too small. Seems like it was cast using sawdust and hide glue, not sure.

Don't know much about it yet, Vin. I've relied on Frank Ford's advice for years. He's been a great friend to all builders and repairpersons. It seems like a heck of a lot of info can be shared on this forum. That's good. Timmo says, "Too many guitar people". Well, guitars are a lot harder to work on than banjos, but I'll bet we get some some chat about banjos, mandolins, fiddles, etc. as time goes by. I'll keep reading it. ArkRed 1 ;?)

Vinnie,
I've never seen anything on here or Frank Ford's Frets.com about "poured pegheads". I remember at the Banjo Rally the Richileu guy explaining to me how he poured the finish on his pegheads. He said he got the idea from the Korean manufacturers. Every poured a peghead on a banjo? Red ;?)
