FRETS.NET

I have a left handed 1960 reisue gibson les paul classic with Jumbo frets. They are so square and wide that sliding and moving is like running my fingers down a cheese grate.

I would like to have them replaced or rounded a little so that it feels a little more smooth like a PRS fret board. What implications would this have on the sound?

AM I LIKELY TO FIND SOMEONE COMPETENT IN BARCELONA TO DO THIS?

If there is enough material left on the frets, they may just be able to be redressed (leveled, crowned, end-dressed), if, on the other hand, they are thoroughly warn, a fret-job may be called for. If the job is done correctly, there really should be no effect on the sound, except possibly better pitch accuracy. And, I'd think there should be any number of shops that could handle fret-work more than competently in the Barcelona area.
