Hi Doug-- I did a guitar in the configeration that you want to do and I wired it up like I had 2 pickups on an electric with a blend switych to go between the two pickups and it sounded just fine with no probloems- wire the thing up without installing it on the guitar and give it a tap test before you install and that way you wont go thru a trial thing on the guitar--
