Arm Rests

I'm making a guitar for someone who has a muscular disability and has trouble playing a guitar with a sharp corner on the lower bout.  Does anyone have a design they'd like to share for an armrest or a way to provide a rounded edge on the lower bout?  I'm concerned about the possibility of affecting the sound by inlaying another wood, but I've seen designs like that.  I'd appreciate any ideas.
