I have a Swedish Bjärton guitar from the mid 80s with a small belly behind the bridge. This is a classical with a solid top and fan bracing. The action is a little high. Has anyone any experience with the Bridge Doctor used in classical guitars? Could it be worth a try?

Thanks

Hi Bob.

I've only installed them on steel stringed instruments, but I can't think of a drawback using the Bridge Doctor on a fan braced nylon stringed instrument. As long as there is space on the bridge to drill a hole for the connecting screw/bolt, you should have no problem.

FYI: I've been planning to do the same thing to one of my nylons in the very near future. All my research thus far has revealed no anticipated problems.

Best of luck :-)

I'm with Paul 100 % on this but thought I should ask if you checked the internal bracing and the bridge plate to insure that they are attached and intact?
