Fender L series strat , strings run off neck .

Hi guys , A customer brought in a SRV strat , it has the old L series issue of the bridge spacing being too wide for the neck , so the strings fall off the edge . I was thinking about a narrower bridge , but try getting a LH , gold , narrow bridge . So I pulled the neck across and got a bit more room on the treble side , and cut a nut with more room on treble side . Any more cures ?
