I was surprised several years ago when I thought of this, AND that is works amazingly well! The photos following are one of the worse case scenarios . There is only a tiny bit of saddle left with this glued in nightmare. I just head up the long flat tip of this set of Vicegrips with a  torch for a few seconds, and about a min latter, with some wiggling back and forth, the saddle just pops right out. I have used this several times on Martin style glued in bridges too. More often than not, the saddle comes out relatively intact too.
