I recently installed an Aguilar OBP3-TK in my customer's Ibanez BTB bass.  I utilized all of the factory pots, which were all 50k.  Aguilar did not include the blend pot for their kit.  The problem is, the volume drops when blended to center.  I was told that I need a "MN" taper pot for this not to happen, but Aguilar doesn't know what value to use.  They told me it would make sense to use the same value, but also that they have used both 250k and 500k values.  I'm lost, especially with the lack of a definitive answer.  All the "MN" taper blend pots I can find are only in 250k and 500k.  Anybody had experience with this before?

Anyone should feel free to correct me:

I doubt you would hear a difference between the 350K and 500K pot. In theory the 500K pot will pass more high frequencies (that's why they are recommended for Humbuckers in guitars). If the MN pot gets rid of the center drop out, then I think either the 250 or 500 would be satisfactory.

I'm inclined to go with the 500K.

I'd go with the 500 or alternately install a 3 way pickup selector, blend is overrated.

Having looked at the aguilar wiring diagram, this problem is occurring because you are now blending the pickups upfront of the preamp rather than within as previously which is why the existing 50k pot wont work
