iI am Looking to Build a douible neck acoustic and I am looking for input and plans

so I have decided to build a double neck Acoustic Guitar time is not a factor but quality is this one is for me .has anyone attempted this in the past few years that could lend a thought on bracing ? and any other subject for that mater .Id just lie to say thank you ahead of time and to Frank Ford your Great Man I know you have a hard time understanding me from time to time.be in my shoes for 1 second, like i want to get it out and i cant wow its hard to be understood at times but thank you for putting up cheers PHB

There's a luthier (I don't remember the name, sorry) who made a special doubleneck : one neck on the soundboard, one neck on the back which by the way was change for a soundboard. 2 soundboards, no back! That way, I guess you don't have to worry about a special bracing ; maybe just stiffer sides. But maybe you want to make it a more traditional way?

Halo Paul I put a new top on a Espano two years ago and it had a typ of criscros bracing on it. You know like Brickabrack crossed every 4''. P.S. somone had fell on the top.I don't no if I still have the old bracing around or not. if I do I will send you a pic of it But I am sure you will no what I meen.When I got it all done the two necks had away to much flex to them.So you need to make sure that you make them good and strong. I have drawn one up 1:1 and hope to build it by the end of the year. I did not use a plan other than tracing my favorite acoustic and scaling the necks out with StewMac scale rulers. The bracing would be a one off.

Other than that Taylor from the NAMM show, I haven't found any other good examples on line or in books. I think this is a kind of do your own thing kind of thing. I have never really used any kinds of plans for anything that involved intense creativity. Some plans are great, but most of them are meant to be suggestions that you run with.

yea i agree the same can be said about the 6 string also with suggestions but what i am wondering about is only the TOP bracing i see how i need 1 large or 2 small neck blocks and 1 central tail block the sides can be beefed up a bit and the back is all good it is the top what am i going to run into the unknown ....I kinda am looking for assurance .that the X bracing is enough to hold it built like a 12 string do you think that is enough strength? or am I going to need to build a double X Brace to amount to the tension of 3 guitars .ill have a 8 string and a 6 string thinking id like a baritone also
