Hello everyone. If you knew Robert through electronics and luthiery as I did, you know he was a wealth of information - some of it unsolicited - and had keen insight into a variety of affairs. I came to know him through contacting him about amplifiers, but I know he was an active member of Frets.net. I just wanted to let you all know that he passed away on May 31, 2012. He had fought a liver ailment for years and was trying to get a transplant for the last two years. This ailment sometimes clouded his mental faculties, though it didn't really surface as much in what he was communicating as it did in his typing. Do what you will with this thread, but I thought I would post the announcement - he didn't have much family and his legacy is mostly the knowledge he's passed on to other through resources such as Frets.net and music-electronics-forum. I know I miss him. He provided much assistance and the occasional verbal kick-in-the-pants to get me to expand my comfort zone.
Thanks for your time,
Jeff Mueller

It was always fun to read Rob's thoughts and I loved his avatar of the open-mouth bass fish. Another empty stool at the workbench.
RIP, indeed.
Thanks for the up date Jeff I am sure we will all miss his input to the forum.Bill...........
Indeed, it's sad to lose another of our community - and one who was way to young to quit. We'll miss him here, as so many others will elsewhere!
Thanks Jeff.
I only "knew" Rob via this forum. He was an electronics guru and a sharing and helpful guy.
Most importantly, he was a true gentleman.
Blessings for his family.
Paul
