Item number 3 in the video is a Gibson K-2 mandocello, a "before" shot of a restoration I did and featured on FRETS.COM:

Wow that's enough to give one acid reflex...... ;)

Yup, that's quite the rogue's gallery of "how not to repair guitars"!  Good find.

Nothing says quality like jamming 5 screws into the joint and slathering it over with glue.  :-)

For a second there, I thought that one of those shots of a head fix with a lot of screws was on my first guitar. It was a bit of a shock. Oh well, now I know better.

So, Frank, did anyone ask you if it was OK to use your picture in their video?

I figure some do ask permission to use photos from my site, but those are "the few."

Otherwise, what gets posted anywhere gets plastered everywhere, I reckon. . .

I suppose it's the price of doing business on the internet. There's a pretty good chance that he found it by running a google search anyway. It's just too bad that he didn't give your site a chance to show how not to do a fix THEN how to do it properly. As it is, a lot of people won't have any idea that the mando in question is back in service and in good shape.

I'll pipe up here. Yes the pictures are of pretty shocking things done to guitars, but as they went by quickly,
I noticed , particularly in the broken head section, occasionally a picture where the owner probably considered
that it was either patch it together or throw it away, and probably enjoyed playing it like that for some time!
And , yes, Hesh , the sound track musicians could easily have been on acid.
