Hi Guys , I'm puzzled by this Samick electric , it is a strat style thing with one bolt neck attachment , which looks a bit like a micro-tilt , when removed the neck is loose but wont come out ! Any experience ? The bridge is low as possible but action high , so needs a neck tilt .

Hi Len.

I think we need a pic to visualize this.

As you can see above , I worked it out , a sliding metal dovetail block . The screw seems to pull the body block down tight (only screwed on one side ) and so clamp the neck in place .Now I need to work out shimming !

I remember those. They worked so well that every manufacturer jumped on the bandwagon. [sarcasm noted].

Actually, several iterations of that attachment scheme have been tried over the years but the long term stability of the systems didn't hold up. They require Aerospace tolerances and nothing short of Titanium will survive long term.

Shim UNDER the body attachment device.

Thanks for the pic's & best of luck :)

Actually the screw pulls a wedge shaped centre section into a slot which forces the bass side of the male dovetail apart , Jamming the whole device tight together , it seems clever but you need to be in a zero gravity environment to get it back together ....seriously difficult .

I have the same Samick neck issue. I can't tell if the bolt is as loose at it's going to get, but the neck is sort of "wiggly". Do I need to remove the entire rim? Is there a way to know if I'm close to being able to remove the neck?

Tighten the bolt , if the neck is still loose , remove the bolt and slide the neck out length-wise . You may need to tighten the internal wood screws .

Whether I tighten or loosen the bolt, left or right, the bolt seems to just keep spinning. And, I’m trying to get the neck off so I can figure out what’s going on because I do have to shim the neck. Is there some sort of trick once the bolt is loose to getting the neck off?

I don't remember , I think the bolt needs to come right  out , then slide the neck out . Zoom in on the pics above .
