Takamine
I know this is gonna sound terrible, but money is REALLY tight right now. I played a Takamine EAN10C at GC, and i fell deeply in love with it.The sound on this guitar actually moved me.It was amazing to me. Others may not like it as much but to me it was the best guitar ever. But at 1100 dollars i couldnt afford it.Any one know any used guitar shops or somewhere i could find one for about 500?? I would probably cry if i could get one for that price LOL

Talk 'em down...trade something,If things are so tight they should really be wanting to sell.These are the days of bargaining. Go often to play it till they get tired of you and lower the price.Or spend 500 on a decent kit and make your own.It just may turn out to be better than the Takemine.

I acquired a used EAN4SC about five years ago and love it. The EQ is great, the pick up is sensitive, and I have used it in a variety of situations and it has never failed me. Unfortunately, things cost what they cost. I see various models here in Minneapolis/ St. Paul from 600-1200.
Have you considered putting a decent pickup in a great sounding acoustic? You might save a little money there.
