Touchup to a Martin neck

Hi I have an customer with a  martin  DCPA4 Rosewood with satin finish to body and neck.

He has damaged the finish on the neck and sanded away the coating over about 2 square inches

Apparently the finish on this series is CAB rather than standard nitro

Any suggestions for finish repair?

In the past I have sprayed some satin poly over spraying the area and then blending it together with some micro-mesh and steel wool.
