I have a McIntyre Feather pickup (passive) in my Guild acoustic--mounted inside on the bridge plate. I run it through a Baggs PADI direct box and into my mixer. If I were to install a Baggs under-saddle pickup, could I blend the two?

If so, what would be the most expedient way to accomplish the blend? Would I want an active saddle pickup, or would I want to stay passive and do an outboard pre-amp, like I'm currently doing with the PADI? I don't mind using two channels on the mixer if necessary--unless blending pre-mixer is a better option.

Thanks for the advice.

David @ PUTW suggests paralleling these two sources into one preamp.
Would that allow for individual control on each pickup--so that EQ and gain on each could be controlled separately?
No, that would be what David calls the, "quackbuster", arrangement:
