FRETS.NET

I have a Composite Acoustic Bluegrass performer guitar in for some fret work. The fingerboard is graphite composite. Heat turns the frets loose, so that part was no problem. The owner complained about buzzing on the 2nd and 5th stings. I replaced the first 5 frets and after leveling and recrowning I still have a buzz on the 5th string from 4th-8th frets.
I called Composite Acoustics to find out how much, if any, relief the fingerboard had originally. All they could tell me was on these early ones there was no spec and how ever they came out is how they were. The fingerboard has almost no relief so I used clamps to create a slight back bow and leveled again. I didn't want to get carried so I only got a little relief.
Have any of you dealt with composite guitars? If so, did they have relief in the fingerboard?
Thanks, David
