FRETS.NET

I recall reading in an article somewhere about a product that could be used during the finishing process to check the work for irregularities, scratches, etc.

It imparted a gloss/shiny look to the work allowing one to view the area as if it were polished out. It was a wipe-on kind of thing that did no harm and was easily removed. I'n not sure if is something created specifically for this application, or something re-purposed.

Does anyone know what this product is?

I use naphtha for that.

Thanks Glen!

I too use naptha, but the stuff I'm talking about did not rapidly evaporate like naptha.

It remained on the surface until wiped off.

I'll have to hunt down the article again, what I get for not writing it down.

I'd made a mental note...

with invisible ink.
