i do refrets all the time but have never done one on a guitar w/ a floyd rose trem system.... i was wondering if anyone could offer any insight or tips. i usually end up replacing the nut when i do a refret. does the nut on a rose have height adjustments? if not what do you do?

Check for metal shims under the nut. If there are no shims; you'll need to machine off a little wood to lower the nut. Allparts sells a shim set if you need to raise the nut, or make them from brass stock, etc.
thanks ..that helps
Biggest problem is to keep the radius of the nut consistant with the radius of the fingerboard..I have also ground the bottom of the nut to lower it some, instead of removing wood from the neck..
thanks again that also is something to keep in mind....for the first time ive used this site it has been suprisingly helpfull...good to know
