FRETS.NET

Yes I know its got brutal action.Lad at work bought it for grandaughter asked me to replace broken nut and did a fretboard cleaning and recrown which went well. My big problem is it had a floatiing bridge and tiny marks where someone had maked the possiton at one time. For perfect intonation between D-G strings it should really go another 1/2' more fore-ward which will make the action even worse. No trust rod just a steel rod enforcement in neck If I sand bottom of saddle will get into buzzing for sure.Should I live with intonation out on this angled bridge as its fingerhard to press even for me let alone beginner child of twelve? Nut is almost down to max but may be a touch left on low -E side. Just put on a good used set of regular light strings I had. Anyone know if this should have nylon strings?-Rob

Sorry Paul - He took it back for now while I look into proper strings and intonation. Will give my local luthier a call and see what he can pass on. Will post any info I get.
