Hi all I just purchased a HD-28, I thought I looked at the guitar real close befor purchasing and saw no flaws other a few pick scuff marks. a few day later while at home I got to running my hand over the zig zag purfling on the rear center of the guitar and noticed a slite offset in it you can feel it with your finger nail but don't really see it just barely under a magnifying glass it's hard to see but it is there the funny thing is youd think it would be along the outer edge of the purfling but it's more like in the purfling my question is has anyone ever seen or experienced this befor and should I try to have this repaired? the inside reinforcement seems fine I removed the strings for a string change and the reinforcement is not raised and seems glued down solid. the guitar sound awsome of coarse I'm just wondering if I should expect futur problemes? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I woulndt be concerned unless it was coming thru the finish, it should be fine, if you look with a magnifiying glass all instruments have minute flaws.
Except for all the makers on this forum of course
dose not seam like any concern if it plays nicely just enjoy and now you can tell yours from the other guys
yeah!! your probably right, you don't really see it, the only way to tell is with your fingernail you can feel it hooking but you can't see it and it does not affect the sound or playability, I will keep an eye on it and report back any changes.
and by the way this forum is amazing sure and glad i stumbled apon it I spent the last 2 days reading.
Thanks for taking the time to reply it is greatly appreciated.
