Good to hear from you. You also look familiar. I've been going to the NCAL meetings off-and-on for the last several years so we've probably seen each other there.
I'm hoping to spend more time with Brian this summer. I've wanted to take a class with Charles Fox for years but it hasn't worked out yet. Even more difficult now that he's up in Portland.
I have a friend that moved to Arnold about the time we both retired from Intel. I was hoping to visit her one of these days and maybe I can stop by and say hi to you on the same trip if you don't mind.
WELL I AM TRYING TO HEAT UP MY SHOP UNDER 55 DEGREES ITS NO GOOD BUT I HAVE JUST GOT MY SIDE BENDING JIG FROM LMII A NEW ONE I WAS BENDING BY HAND AND NOW PREFER TO WALK AWAY WHILE ITS BENDING I HAVE ELECTRIC PROJECTS MAINLY AND REALLY ONLY BUILD ACOUSTIC ON COMMISSION I CAN TEACH YOU NITRO CELLOS I WORKED FOR A FINISH SHOP FOR 6 YEARS WHERE I SHOT LIKE 20 GALLONS A DAY CAN TEACH YOU/ TEACH ME FRENCH POLISH IN TRADE ? THE REPAIR GIG PAYS NOW AND SO THAT'S WHAT I AM DOING SUMMER TIME I GO LICKITY SPLIT AND IF EVERYTHING GOES AS PLANNED I WILL BUILD UP TO 40 GUITARS 10 ACOUSTICS AND 20 OR SO ELECTRIC AND SOME LAP STEELS I AM A CLASSICAL FLAMENCO GUITAR PLAYER AND WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU BUT AS OF BUILDING RIGHT NOW NO JUST REPAIRS UNTIL IT WARMS UP OR UNTIL I GET SOME SHEET ROCK AND ISOLATION GOING ON
hello thank you for the offer count me in I am also a participant with N CAL through LMII seam to be great people I was entertaining the thought of a Luthier COOP in which I would Buy a large wear house and stalk it with floor model tools and rent to professional Luthiers as long as they would help me keep up the tools and pay rent cause the secret is out not to hold back cause I can only build like 30 Guitars a Year with the repair load I take on my e mail address is steelstrings1@yahoo.com Jerry I sent you and e mail but had a glitch so here it is cheers PHB
No that's ok, I'm just a player who tries to learn as much as I can for my daughter (the real player). I'm sure my local luthier, Paul (who has responded on this very discussion), would possibly be interested.
