Mr. Oakes; Just saw u on Frets/Net and as a 25 yr. vet of the B.C. (Canada) forest industry and I was on the sharp end of the stick as a Timber faller, I was both astounded & greatly di sappointed at your apparent willingness to subscribe thru your signatory paticipation to petitions seeking to affect matters in the bush about which you are seemingly less than fully informed. This sort of thing has done the enviro-movement great harm. Having said that, I do not wish to defend the past practices of the International Industrial timber giants ( Weyco/M.& B./Domtar etc.) I DO KNOW that in Canada, agreat deal of $$,sweat and even blood ( mosquitos, black flies ) is expended in the re-forestation effort. A major problem lies in the incompatability of Ma Natures time-line & modern economics; too many people, too much waste, too little knowledge&respect, but change IS happening...atleast hereabouts. Respectfully yours, Guitarelic
Can you call me at 570-499-1639. I am a friend of Sean Tolans and need a fret job done on my Takemine.
Thanks
Rick
