Nick I found that Gibson mandolin tailpiece cover. It has the wiggle-cut block Deco-style Gibson on a slant. Do you still need it? I don't know how much it's worth.

I have one of the "The Gibson" covers from the 20's, but it will be very expen$ive. You can buy a repro for about $69.00

Nick, The humidity worked. just 24 hrs with a sponge in a dish, case closed. Added cleats, let dry. retouched the lacquer cracks...looks pretty good and lasted. What is the spline method?
