Hmm, I'm not sure I understand your comments. I really don't mean to make anybody look like a "jerk" as everyone has their unique experiences to hears. At present I'm just about to turn 56 and I've been an electronics hobbiest since I was 15 hence the "40 years." And while I obviously didn't have a professional service shop as a teenager - but I did have a friend in another town a year younger who did - I was doing repairs, mostly TVs, for neighbors and friends.
My guitar repairs are much more limited - I refinished and rewired a Tele that had been in a fire when I was around 19-20 but after that mostly only worked on my own stuff until about 10 years ago. Around 7 years ago I was the Senior Electronics Technician for Buddy Roger's Music in Cinti where I did most of the repairs for a chain of six music stores along with two part-time techs that I managed.
While I don't consider myself more than an amateur guitar tech I think my electronics experience stands for itself.
Thanks for the support Rob. I have no idea what others said before the thead was closed, presumably supporting PAUL.
I just wanted to reveal what he is really like when crossed
