I still havent ever bought lacquer from a Canadian supplier. Be interested too to find out where folks are getting it. Not sure if your east or west, but just south of B.C., in Bellingham, Washington is Grizzly Equipment. I get most of my finishing stuff there. They sold McFaddens until they were gone and also sell Behlens, which Im now using. They still have Mcfaddens color dyes (on sale too) last I looked for your tinting needs. They now ship to Canada too, if you arent nearby.
By the way-not my area of expertise, but without knowing what type of lacquer is already on the guitar, I think you could get into a mess if there is an incompatibility with the new lacquer you apply.

Hey having said that you never learn any thing new with out taking a chance. By the way I buy my Lacquer frome a Indust supplyer. five galons at a time. a lot cheaper.Good luck Bill.''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
My personal opinion is that your post and my post are not relevant but, other than that, I believe that the original thread did, indeed, have a point. Sorry you missed it.
Be-sides you are about eleven Months behind the news .Bill...........
