Got a Martin guitar with the old sharp intonation on the low E string.. 

So I made this shelf saddle..

Nice solution Claus.  Is it bone?  How did you create the shape?

Yes its bone. I route shelf part out by hand to fit the top radius of the bridge, its not easy but working on a jig to make that a lot easyer, the saddle is the same width all the way. You just have more room to set the intonation, you still need to file and shape the top of the saddle like you normaly would.. 

Hard to tell from the pic, but I'm curious if the angled offset gradually diminishes as it moves toward the higher strings?
