I purchased two of these for $.50 at a yard sale.  The box said "Mounting L Brackets" and nothing else.  That seems somewhat obvious, and fairly useless. If you look up such a term, there are millions of different L brackets out there used for mounting.  Tried "sliding" and "adjustable" and "slotted" to no avail.  I'd love another two to finish the carriage for my router jig.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Doug,

Could you post another pic with a ruler next to the bracket?

Thanks,

Phil

Sorry about no measurements.  It's 7" long and 3" tall, and much heftier and bigger, Donald, than a pickguard mounting get-up, I can hardly bend the thing, appears to be 1/8" hardened carbon steel.  Definitely magnetic.  But, for my purposes, it does not need to be that strong.   Back to the pickguard mounts, right idea, but needs slots on both sides rather than slot and screw hole.  Close...  Any more ideas?

Thanks much

that looks to be a bracket to hold a pick guard to a guitar ,,  can be had most anywhere like e/BAY

try something that is made by Stanley hardware-- after all the expression goes

"Stanley helps you do it rite"  LOL

It offered me hope, but did not quite hit the spot.  Of course they use the term brace, rather than bracket, so... maybe I should try that route.  Thanks

Had someone today tell me "Oh, that's a long slot vertical blind mounting extension bracket."  WOW!  So, now to find them for sale.  I'll keep you updated.

UPDATE!  So, I take this bracket into Lowe's and say "Do you have anything like this?"  Key is, don't go to the hardware department, go to the blinds and curtains (not the in-house designer either, the tech working the blind cutter).  "Sure, but they don't make them like that anymore" seems this is an old model.  Got something very close, but the one long slot is now 2 shorter ones.  Otherwise, almost identical except for size.  Longer ones are special order, but... these are long enough to work... oh they're made by levalor, but I'm guessing every blind manufacturer has something like it.
