This beauty came in the shop this week. It has been in client's family since it was new! I am looking for information on it. Oscar Schmidt Stella I think. Koa top and back. 5 pc Mahogany neck. Pearl Tree of Life is fabulous! Age? Value? History? Any and all comments welcome.

Nice. Real Nice. I would "show" it to Lowell Levinger (www.vintageinstruments.com) Marc Silber http://www.marcsilbermusic.com/. They are my "go to" guys for this sort of thing.and/or

I'm certain Frank has seen a few of these as well.

...keep hearing Brando screaming....S T E L L A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any label?  Why do you think it's a Stella?  The headstock (from both sides) neck heel, and bridge are very helpful in identifying a guitar; none of these are in the photos.
No label Howard.  The close up shots of the inlay work match exactly to some examples of known Stellas.  Also looking at the bridge design.  These are the best indicator I can see..
