Just got a goodie-pack from LMI (the usual supplies, glue, etc.) but also took a shot at trying a new item they now carry.... .020" thick bone shims for nuts. They're a bit pricey at $2.35 each (in quantities of 24) but they're fantastic. The length and width are more than adequate for any nut out there.
No more finding the right shade of plastic or whatever to shim a nut! One caveat: the ones I got measure a consistent .024", not .020" as they say... but that's just nitpicking. Anyway, just thought I'd pass along another trick in the toolbag. They carry them as item #BSHIM.

Just used my first one yesterday.... very handy, indeed. They're fragile little buggers so employ TLC when cutting the length and width to fit.
I'd love to see the saw setup they figured-out to cut 'em. A laser came to mind, but that would leave them with scorch marks. At any rate, a nice offering from LMI
Mike, what about a dremil tool with one of those carbon wheels?
