Greetings,
A number of years ago I got ten Brazilian rosewood guitar necks (and headpieces) from Steve Klein (and Steve Kauffman) for a project that we wound up using Indian for (needed more necks). So I've got these old-growth air-dried Brazilian necks/headpieces for sale. The necks have been cut for the truss rod and the portion that fits into the body (as an acoustic).
It is difficult to determine a price because nobody I've talked to knows anyone who uses Brazilian rosewood for necks, nor recalls anyone who does. Maro (who deals with Brazilian) thought they would be worth $300 - $500 each, but, again, it's difficult to determine as there's never been a market for them - anyone with Brazilian that thick would have made them into backs and sides, and sold them for much larger sums. I'm open to offers. Don't be shy. I'm not using them.
Thanks in advance,
Peace,
Paul Schmidt
