I read Franks article "A bit of Flush Cutting" with great interest as I'd like to create a Telecaster style guitar body from blank wood.  I do have access to a router table, but I wonder if the method Frank prescribes, using a drill press, could be use to route out the shape of the guitar body, or route the pickup and neck cavities, or both?

Thanks and great web site and forum here.

Use a router.
This method is only for light duty trimming, not for cutting solid  body outlines and recesses. A router runs a lot faster and is the right tool for your job
Not mentionning that there will be too much play laterally. Definitly not the good tool.
