Hello All,

Thomas James' reply to another thread reminded me that I probably haven't mentioned the availability of my "Double Bevel Sharpening" booklet. I used to sell the whole system through LMI, but decided some years ago to devote myself to guitar making, and no longer make the honing guide and stone box.

The booklet has plans for a DIY honing guide made from plywood---which works as well as the steel one--- and also has plans for the stone box. I've been using the system since the 1970's, and have not found one that I like better.

I have Brian's booklet and the box and guide and use it with success.  I've tried other methods and systems, but this is the simplest while being the most effective to get a very sharp edge on my chisels.
