I have a LG-0 that needs a new bridge as the original plastic bridge is not only cracked on the top, but 2 of the posts that the screws anchor to are broken. I'm suggesting to the owner that we build a new rosewood bridge. But my question to this group is what type. Do I recommend an earlier rosewood style or a later adjustable rosewood style? This guitar I believe was built in 1963.

No question; a conventional (non adjustable) bridge.  Your customer will thank you for the improvement in sound.

Best of luck (-:

Yeah, I had come to that conclusion already. Thanks.

There are, as you seem to know, two main bridge shapes for the LG0. The plastic bridges were the belly up shape and the pre plastic bridges were a 1" x just under 6" rosewood rectangle. Some luthiers find this size too narrow. Also there could be a problem with the finish with the old shape if it has been refinished. The simplest solution is a rosewood version of the plastic shape. Its worth checking the bridge plate as there can be very deep tear out between the pin holes and the bridge holes.

Heres an older article that shows more or less how I deal with a reverse belly:

Here is a newer article with some technique updates.  This one is a rectangular bridge replacement with a conversion to a drop In saddle.
